Last year Lilly decided she wanted to fly from Idaho to Arizona, all by herself! So plans were made and Joy and Lilly came to visit us for the 4th of July.

They were welcomed by one of our warm monsoon rainstorms. We drove down the street with the sunroof open and the windows down! Arizona rain is warm and fun to play in.

Princess Lilly

Lilly's one request was that we swim everyday. So we did, even if it was late at night.

Mmm goood!

Lilly didn't know how to swim. So with alot of coaxing and incouragement she finally was brave enough to take the plunge! Three days later she started holding her breath under water. She turned into a mermaid and now can swim across the pool! Wow! Way to go Lilly!!!!!
Well what can I say about the 4th of July in Arizona? If you are not in the water it is hot, hot, and hot. The only good thing is the people you are with. It was just a reminder of why we enjoy spending it in Utah! Here we are trying to see fireworks. It's the closest we could get. Millions of people trying to see the only show in town. We should have brought binoculars. We won't even mention the traffic with hot frustrated drivers! But it was a memory.

Trudy went out of town for her birthday, so we came over everyday to play with Brady and Boomer. Thanks for letting us use the pool!

I look forward all year to my "girls trip" to the Tuacahn Theater in St. George, Utah. We have been going for about 8 years. It is the most fun and unique theater in the world! We are addicted and we highly recommend it to everyone. (Laurie, Nancy, Sherri, and Elaine) Candice and Estelle had family situations and we missed them this year. Our first stop is always at The Lodge at Jacob Lake. Their sandwiches are fabulous. If you like home baked goods and thick shakes, it's the place to go.
First night we are seeing "Annie"

Front row seats!

It's all about the food! We find the best food and we keep going back every year. This is the Fish Rock Grille @ The Ledges country club. We love the sceanic view and are visited by butterflies and dragonflies. It is very beautiful.

We can't stay away from the Parrothead Grill. Shrimp tacos and Island fries (sweet potatoe fries) are to die for!

Our second night we are seeing "Footloose". Our perfect Hostess, Arlene is with us! She is like the cherry on top. She makes everything that is wonderful even sweeter.

"Footloose" was the best! It was even better than the movie. Loved it!

Arlene making us her special oatmeal & blueberry pancakes. Mmmmmmmm!!!!

Thank you Arlene for being so gracious and making us feel so welcomed!
